Competing in the most difficult league in the county has forced this year’s group to come to the diamond every day and accept the challenge. With the added difficulty of working around construction Coach Levinson’s 2018 squad has had to overcome numerous obstacles.
Earning the #11 seed in Division 1 might be seen as a great accomplishment by most programs in the county or for our Patriots seen as an off year. However, this group has fought each step of the way. Yesterday in the first round of the CIF playoffs was no different. Anytime there is a matchup with a north county team it is going to be difficult and the ladies showed just how tough they are by beating La Costa Canyon HS 8-4 on their field.
They move on to the next round on Thursday in a rematch of last year’s D1 Final against Carlsbad HS.
