Patrick Henry (4-1) who earned their way into the toughest bracket Semi-Finals with four big wins showed they are a possible contender despite the setback to the Carlsbad Lancers (5-0-1).

Both sides pitching wise went back and forth but the Lancers would strike the early blow in the top of the first inning with a run pushed across after consecutive walks.

The Lancers leading 1-0 in the top of the third inning were able to add another run on a Kennedy Jarrard fielders choice that brought home Alexa Mikesha to make it 2-0.

Patrick Henry thought they were going to be able to scrape something in the bottom of the fourth inning with one out as Lauren Nett (2-2) singled and H. Jenks reached on an error which advanced Nett to third base. Unfortunately, neither would advance any further as Carlsbad got out of the inning.

Still trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth the Patriots finally got on the board when Dezianna Patmon (1-2, R, RBI, HR) jacked a leadoff home run to bring Patrick Henry within 2-1. However, that would be the closest they would get as the next three batters were retired to end the game and preserve the victory for the Lancers.

Maele Hensch for the Lancers picked up the victory as she went 3 1/3 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits.

For Patrick Henry H. Jenks took the loss as she went 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits while walking 5 and striking out 3.
