Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys XC Earns 3rd Place Finish at Bronco Invitational


The Patrick Henry Cross Country team competed in the Bronco Round-Up Invitational at Kit Carson Park in Escondido on Saturday.

Aiden Davis (11th grade) and Caden Romaine-Gleim (10th grade) finished 2nd and 11th, respectively, to help the varsity boys finish 3rd out of 14 teams in the competitive field. Davis, in his third year, blistered the last 400 meters to outkick three competitors, covering the 2.0 hilly course in 9:54.7. Davis was followed closely behind by Romaine-Gleim in 10:11.1, Junior Charlie Dunningan (10:15.7), Senior Captain Nathaniel Cruz (10:18.6), and Senior Captain David Harimana (10:22.8), who rounded out the Patriots’

Sophomore Cassandra Pataky (13:20.0), in her first year of cross country, ran a solid race to lead the Patriot Womens’ Varsity squad.

Other notable Patriot harriers include Senior Jack Urie (7th in Junior Varsity race in 11:03.9), Junior Sofia Serrato (48th in the Junior Varsity race in 15:48.9), Freshman Jack Reinig (18th place in the Frosh/Novice race in 12:11.3), and Sophomore Montufar (35th in the Frosh/Novice race).

The Patriots will compete in the prestigious Woodbridge Invitational on September 21st.
